An article about Fujoushis!! And it's downright amusing indeed...

http://asia.cnet.com/blogs/mobileojisan/post.htm?id=63002350

OMG what did they do to the poor girl in the pic?! Chotto, soko - hanaji ga nai yo! Hidoi!

And although the article was rather new, the photos were outdated? I'm not sure about Tora no Ana, but K-Books' signboards don't look like that anymoooore. RAWR. Halt dein Fressen, Juengling.

[Edit:] Suddenly I got all interested and started googling and reading about fujoushis.

http://d.hatena.ne.jp/matakimika/20080311

...HUH?!

ZEN ZEN WAKANE. =__=#

But I learnt a new word: FUDANSHI.
Ooo! That interesting gadget I bought in Tokyo actually worked!! Coz my work always demands me to travel or stand too much, hard skin around my soles is a monstrous bother to me. And though I got this cool stick thingy from Kyoto last winter, it needs too painstakingly the effort and time to have it serve its purpose...

This current gadget is battery operated, ahaha!! For the lazy me - me is beri happy.

And also... finally finished reading my f-list... x____x I'm still holding back on going to YD and TSK... I know what to expect already, reading from my f-list... *sigh* .___.

Oh, oh! And I opened the SCB last night! Don't know why I did so, but... the box inside the cardboard box is made of shiny. *___* Expecting the bedsheet to be the first item to see (I just know that...?) I lifted the cover very carefully... and OMG THE HAIR LOOKS LIKE... IYAIYAIYAIYAIYA... IYAAAAAAA~~~~~

*melts in a fangirl puddle*

...masaka... iyaa...

I couldn't bring myself to lift the cover fully... this happens like four, five times? XDDDD;; Each time maybe I managed to increase lifting it by 5 degrees more? NANI O...?! *////////* ORE WA CHOOOOU BAKA >____>;;

demo... shiwase ne... ^3^

ASAMI~~~~~~~~ <333333333333333333333333333333

I didn't even dare touch that <s>chest</s> face of his XDDDDD

BACK!

Me back! Our plane touched down around 1am this morning... but Mum didn't wanna goe home yet (till in vacation mood I can see lol) so we stayed at the airport still I'm barely awake... Got a cab home around 5am. Geez, okasaaaan... <3

Anyway unwrapped the Onmyouji artbook (very very pretty~~~ and better than the available scans...!!) and Love Core at the airport just to entertian myself... Though Mum didn't wanna get home too soon, I was dying to, to unpack all my loot. Moi loot? Well, the baggage limit is one luggage to a person, so hand-carry wise it was FIVE IN TOTAL minus Mum's oversized bag. And 95% of everything is MY stuff. :DDD *dies in bliss* Two paperbags to carry the big-sized artbooks - plus *something special* (kyaaaa~~~ <3333), the rest are all books - I've lost count of how many I bought, but I'm slowly unwrapping them now so we'll know the number count soon *__*

(And that *something special* = the YA-sensei SCB - yeesh, moi found it *squiggles in hanaji*)

However there's always something to dread after coming home - f-list. T_____T I even dare not check up YD or TSK yet... There will be so many things to catch up on... -_____-

*back to unpacking*

Hello! Or rather, I made it! I know this came a month late from what I promised, but I finally managed to finish posting the Japan part of last year's winter vacation. The photos were a pain to upload, but now I'm glad I made it time, just before I leave for Tokyo (again lol!) tomorrow.

Just some warning before you start clicking the links away: I didn't realise I am such a <s>photo whore</s> trigger-happy person. I'd shoot at anything, and as a result, the daily photo count went up to 300+. I have reduced them to the most 100-ish photos per day for you... Just don't kill me for eating up your bandwidth or anything ;__;

Anyhow, enjoy~ These posts are definitely more exciting than the Texas ones~~!

18 and 19th Dec
20th Dec (Part I)
20th Dec (Part II)
21st Dec
22nd Dec - Main Post
22nd Dec - Sub Post
23rd Dec - Main Post
23rd Dec - Sub Post
24th Dec - Main Post
24th Dec - Sub Post
25th Dec
26th Dec

And here are the Texas parts.

If you can't read the posts (except the sub posts), feel free to friend me; and I'll add you as a friend back! ;)

Woke up to a stuffy and humid air last evening, which I so truly hate.

I think it was the same for this morning. >.<

Soba for lunch! Nya~ I think I'll never get prepared wasabi in tubes anymore... The one I bought tasted... so chemical. And that "woosh" wasabi effect felt so superficial. Mazui! >.<

I was dying to start packing my lugguage since last week, but I rather not. Firstly I should finish my chain of performances for the next three weeks before I begin anticipating. At least it won't make work more painful for me. Really don't know how to get through these weeks. *sigh*

So what I did just now was to unpack my lugguages. Lol. Still a lot of stuff left from the winter vacation. Managed to unpack half of the loot; the other half I didn't manage to clear away (until I clear some space in my room for them). So I did a lot of homework before I visited Japan last December, and together with the amount of maps and guides and pamphlets I brought back - they amounted to a pretty tall paper pile. Gosh, I never knew I had been dragging those weights behind me! Anyway I got them out of the lugguages, and that pile sitting on my piano chair in my room... smells like heavenly Earl Grey. In fact, that huge lugguage of mine smells so strongly of Earl Grey coz of the tea packs I bought from Texas. Ahahaha... Tengoku... Shiawase...! <3

*goes sniffing like I'm sniffing glue*

Stand With Tibet!

Dear friends,

After decades of repression under Chinese rule, the Tibetan people's frustrations have burst onto the streets in protests and riots. With the spotlight of the upcoming Olympic Games now on China, Tibetans are crying out to the world for change.

The Chinese government has said that the protesters who have not yet surrendered "will be punished". Its leaders are right now considering a crucial choice between escalating brutality or dialogue that could determine the future of Tibet, and China.

We can affect this historic choice--China does care about its international reputation. China's President Hu Jintao needs to hear that the 'Made in China' brand and the upcoming Olympics in Beijing can succeed only if he makes the right choice. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his attention--and we need it in the next 48 hours.

The Tibetan Nobel peace prize winner and spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama has called for restraint and dialogue: he needs the world's people to support him. Click below now to sign the petition--and tell absolutely everyone you can right away--our goal is 1 million voices united for Tibet:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_end_the_violence/97.php/?cl_tf_sign=1

China's economy is totally dependent on "Made in China" exports that we all buy, and the government is keen to make the Olympics in Beijing this summer a celebration of a new China, respected as a leading world power. China is also a very diverse country with a brutal past and has reason to be concerned about its stability -- some of Tibet's rioters killed innocent people. But President Hu must recognize that the greatest danger to Chinese stability and development comes from hardliners who advocate escalating repression, not from Tibetans who seek dialogue and reform.

We will deliver our petition directly to Chinese officials in London, New York, and Beijing, but it must be a massive number before we deliver the petition. Please forward this email to your address book with a note explaining to your friends why this is important, or use our tell-a-friend tool to email your address book--it will come up after you sign the petition.

The Tibetan people have suffered quietly for decades. It is finally their moment to speak--we must help them be heard.

With hope and respect,

Ricken, Iain, Graziela, Paul, Galit, Pascal, Milena, Ben and the whole Avaaz team

PS - It has been suggested that the Chinese government may block the Avaaz website as a result of this email, and thousands of Avaaz members in China will no longer be able to participate in our community. A poll of Avaaz members over the weekend showed that over 80% of us believed it was still important to act on Tibet despite this terrible potential loss to our community, if we thought we could make a difference. If we are blocked, Avaaz will help maintain the campaign for internet freedom for all Chinese people, so that our members in China can one day rejoin our community.

Here are some links with more information on the Tibetan protests and the Chinese response:
BBC News: UN Calls for Restraint in Tibet - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7301912.stm
Human Right Watch: China Restrain from Violently Attacking Protesters - http://hrw.org/english/docs/2008/03/15/china18291.htm
Associated Press: Tibet Unrest Sparks Global Reaction - http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gSSpPcDOPMoAiRLhPUyezuCRiXBQD8VFDD680
New York Times: China Takes Steps to Thwart Reporting on Tibet Protests - http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/18/world/asia/18access.html?ref=world
--------------------------------------------

ABOUT AVAAZ

Avaaz.org is an independent, not-for-profit global campaigning organization that works to ensure that the views and values of the world's people inform global decision-making. (Avaaz means "voice" in many languages.) Avaaz receives no money from governments or corporations, and is staffed by a global team based in London, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Paris, Washington DC, and Geneva.

It's funny how I can have such a range of emotions. Today, it started off with eagerness, then at the turn of the tide, wrath - bitterness - self-pity - self-hatred - total submission - despair and lastly... I'm putting up a indifferent front right now. In a span of less than an hour.

I'll try not to think about - but it might not work as well when I wake up tomorrow. Scheisse. Trying to be indifferent at this moment and ignoring that wrench in my chest, so I reached out for the easiest solution again. Distraction, and I run away.

Watashi... zettai saitei desu.

Hence, stolen from Proko.

Check this:

<lj-embed id="2" />

If you're not a classical music fan, at least watch from the 6th minute. Gonna wrecked my memories for this; I didn't make any notes when I was there ;___;

Stay tuned~~

Slept off a high fever last night. Phew! Thought I got malaria or something (lol) - aching all over, high fever and felt like dying, then there's this strange insect bite on my left leg I found when waking up on New Year's morn. Still I plonged on the ivories last night lol. But imagine the pain when every inch and joint ached like the end of the world. =_____=

Seems sleep works better than drugs this time? Coz now the fever feels like it's gone, and the aching has lessened. By the way I've been trying my best sleeping more than 10 hours each day since the start of this hols. Ho.

I've been nagging at myself to continue updating the winter vacation posts... but I figure out I should wait till Monday, when the new lappie will be arriving. Then at least posting and uploading fotos will be thrice faster (I'm not exaggerating...) Looking forward to the day when I can finally anime and live-drama (arrgh, Nodame Cantabile >:EE) in my own room.

Currently addicted to Miyamoto Shunichi's songs. Ha... I must goe get more of his albums when I'm back in Tokyo. *___*

Happy Chinese New Year, minna!!!

Did not really spring clean this year - totally don't know what's wrong with me, lol. But major changes in my bookshelves. Those who are clear about how I arrange my shelves left and right side... A section from the right has moved down to the left... (movement once prohibited by moi and myself) And I have a brand new *hanaji* section LOL.

Never mind. I don't know what I'm saying.

But those stuff I've gotten back from Japan... I've still thinking hard how I can manage to squeeze everything onto the shelves.

Reunion dinner... was even more dull this year. Firstly no sashimi yusheng T___T If I'd know I would have sponsored the yusheng manz... Cz. Food was okay... just normal usual okay... The sushi Mum bought was in the end not too fresh. :( And the food pile on rice bowls and the flight of the yusheng... just ain't fun enough with Pandora not around. Gosh. Luckily I brought my HD along and had Jun Jun entertain me before and after the dinner. I had planned to watch some Jun anime, but in the end I was watching seiyuus' interview LOL.

Oh, finally opened Gankutsuou Complete last night. YAY WOW WHOA. *___*

Meanwhile, meme from saorren:

...which is quite true, and mostly false.

From seeress_pandora:

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

O-sashiburi.

Feels like I'm posting finally after one long year, ha. Rehearsals... are really on the roll... I totally have no more life left... as predicted... I'm already close to dragging my feet to the rehearsal venue. Muaha.

I'm giving everything to the opera. My free time, oh, my work time even... and this time it got even more serious? Coz I'm going for contacts. Yeah, that came from me. Since there's no pretty Espirit frame in Paris 1889, and I figured I shouldn't walk and act like a blind mice on stage... contacts are the sole solution. Sigh. I used to hate contacts yanno... coz to me it looks total troublesome. Kinda weird for Wednesday to come. Oh, performance period is this Friday to next Tuesday (minus our break off on Sunday). Meaning almost a week on contacts. I like not.

Check out our rehearsal studio anyway. (Not the performing venue duh.)

I love the studio. Immensely. And it overlooks the sea (or straits or whatever waterly bodies), so when we rehearse late into the night it is one beautiful scene. And seriously, that's what stop making rehearsals so tiring. Or repetitive. I am attached to this place now.

Took this picture sometime around last week. Those are the Act Two Scene Two props. Well, some are make-shift props as you can see lol... Not everything is ready... aha.

:)

More updates when I find more online time. Or perhaps after the performance period, when life returns to the dull and I leave this strange dream of January.

Nyahh... When was the last time I felt the need to take time to chill out?

It works simple for me. Good J-pop music, Internet, silence in the house and nighttime. Easily appeased? Ahaha.

Erm, which I'm doing now? Kimochii~~~

Wokay. Glad I survived today. It was passionate teaching today. The whole day - no idea why I was so enthusiatic today haha. Choir rehearsal at a school in the afternoon. Omg... the kids like... remembered and missed me? It was like all chaotic in yaaaaaaaaays disrupting the choir practice when I entered the room. I was not overwhelmed at all; I just went WTH is going on @___@???? Lol.

Nyaahh... Feeling so relaxed now... but for how long...? Now something boggling me at the back of my mind. Act Two is not yet memorized! Arrrrrgh!!!!!! I FINALLY got the words right for the opening number (it's <s>fbloody</s> so wordy!!! >:EE) but still not fluent enough! And it's only the opening number of Act Two... So in deep shit. Tomorrow's rehearsal is still on Act One, but come Friday and onwards... the dreaded Act Two. Shit! Coz I understand there's gonna be a lot of movements... T____T

I can't even sleep in trains or buses, I'm always tearing the score apart while waiting for the buses... blah blah... I think right after work tomorrow I should return home to burn and drink the music before evening rehearsal... instead of dining with Mum? Bleh. Obviously, eat sleep La Traviata; anything else - there is no life.

[Crazy work rehearsal schedule, yet I'm posting crap instead of pics! Gomen ne... You'll have to wait till Feb? Or at least till after 29th Jan. Whaha.]

Gasp! I missed Kan-chan's birthday by one and a half hour!! Warui na... T___T

I always knew it at the back of my mind; it's not that difficult to know when 1st Jan arrives, oder? But perhaps because I really see no point in being festive and the celebrations making no sense. Perhaps because I just love seeing an end to everything, and hate it a lot A LOT to see a kind of "reset" as I am being pushed inevitable into a new beginning.

A burden to make sure that I'm gonna make 2008 fulfilling or something. Always feeling the stress that the surrounding people are all watching me? Especially a particular mentor (that I shall vaguely state)? Unlike the previous year I do not intend to carry out that huge ambition this time; I shall take a rest maybe coz I don't have enough guts and movitation now - perhaps I'm overly worried to carry a good impression in front of her. Which I've started hating since the second half of 2007 - expectations.

But I looked back and 2007 has been a great year. So much better than 2006. A balance of friends and family, work and slaving, indulgment and travelling. Tanoshikata. :)

I face the new year in preparation of an inevitable seperation of someone really important to me, nightmarish routines. With that there are also plans for ambitious schedules, not to mention even more travelling than I've done last year. That's the new year for me.

Meaning another year to live through. And get through. That's hard.

Yoz. I'm back. Actually... on Wednesday night.

My two luggages (yep, I went with one, and came back with two? XD;;) were like... around 40kg whahaha. Plus three heavy hand-carry. Ohoho~~

Finally urged myself to post... still having a hard time re-adapting back to local customs. Yes, I completely submerged into Tokyo's culture in those 3.5 days. It's hard to orientated myself already. Trying very hard not to call out "sumimasen!" when I needed attention in the shop, walking wrong directions (lol) and figuring out how to use my lappie LMAO. I even had a hard time today trying to remember where I had placed my HDs. Gosh.

But the worst nightmare is to catch up on 3 weeks' worth of stuff online... F-list, updates and lots of GP (gosh.) I'm barely one third done right now. And my desktop is crying out for mercy already... Gomen na...

Anyway I started work today. Feels strange touching the piano again... When I stared at the music I thought they look alien to me, but then again, my fingers knew exactly where to place themselves. Okashi dane. Pedalling-wise? I forgot to say that I injured my right foot when I was in Kyoto last Saturday, and limped my way back home. And the night my plane touched down it started to swell. Quoting Mum: it looks like "pig's leg" now. T____T

Living room is messy (coz my two luggages are still half-unpacked... seriously dunno how to do it... ^___^;;), my room is the WORST. All my loot are in there... coz I was afraid someone might peek at the content (whahaha XDDDDD) or kick it a mile away during night toilet trips (lol). And I dunno what to do with the loot!! Practically NO SPACE WHATSOEVER... to put them away... my shelves are already totally full! So either I tidy them up months before CNY, or get another new bookshelf. Meh.

And other random thoughts; since once I got home at noon from work had Mum decided to chain me to a chair (and I chose the one at the desktop coz I'm not stoooopid lol) to make sure I don't walk around the house ahaha, I have been in front of the com since afternoon?

And listened to Heart no Kuni no Alice Drama & Radio CD Vol 2. Jun Jun so farnie. "Nyah-tte" lol. Then nyah nyah nyah nyah... wan. LMAO. Nvm, I'm just rumbling... =w=;;

Read the FLESH & BLOOD novels... omg... I think I like the series! Coz there's this "ko-ouji" element in there... and that's my fetish? XDDDDDD Kaito is cute ne... like the "ko-oujis" always do. :DDDDDDDD I already confessed that this started all from Albert, demo I now suspect that it has something to do with Jun Jun too. Think about it - Keita... Albert... Akihito (from LS)... and now Kaito... all voiced by him!

Taihen nyah?

But I like the story. Everything is slow... and romantic. :D

(And during these past two days I've been drooling over Fumi-sensei's and Chiharu-sensei's art. Whoa. Me already fan. Er... yay?)

Backtracking... Anyhow, after I finishing catching up on my f-list (which REALLY seems impossible now T____T) I will begin to post everything with photos at my blogspot. Every past posts made during my stay this month in the States will be eventually friend/custom-locked with more personal photos.

1. I suddenly miss RK soundtracks very much.

2. Was telling Proko earlier this afternoon - took a fall when going up the stairs, and my skull was LOUD. There's this pain like a headache around the eye socket area that lasted for more than eight hours... I'm not sure if the pain has subsided now, or that it will return again?

3. I think I should take a nap instead of staying up till morn.

So my dears - to all a good night :)

Lebewohl, meine Freunde...!

In the end I had like only 1 hour plus of sleep? Lol. I was chatting with Judy-chan, then... I went on for some hanaji session (yes, at the eleventh hour I finished all 4 current volumes of VF!!! Whahahaha...) followed by tonight's School Rumble Nigakki episode. Muaha. Loooove the series. Always. So silly.

Basically I wasn't actually excited or anything. It was more of geez... I'm gonna "zhuo bo" (do nothing in dialect) on the plane and I don't wanna just spend the remaining time... sleeping more! Lol. I'm really really dreading the 17 hours flight my dears. >_<

Eeks.

I hope I can survive this.

P.S. I'll be updating here as regularly as possible, depending on how frequent I can access the Internet over in the States, but the Christmas week I'll be completely cut off from cyberspace. So for now, ciao-ciao. ♥

NO MORRRRRRRE WORK!!!! All is done, and done is all. Yay yay yay yay yay~~~

Since I wanted to slack around and have fun, I decided to pack everything tonight. And it feels like my flight is tomorrow? Lol. And now I worry not having enough space for the stuffies I'm gonna bring back... coz throwing in the boots means leaving a quarter of my luggage for my (and friends') shopping list. Oh shitto.

So.

http://manga.bleachexile.com/bleach-chapter-136-page-7.html
http://snakeeyesvideos.vidiac.com/
http://www.animecrunch.com/

http://www.b-boy.jp/bbs/libre_bbs.cgi?author=14
http://koyap.jugem.jp/
http://www.lawson.co.jp/lawson_more/ghibli/info.html

If I am asked to count down, I would say I've 6 hours more of work to go.

:D

So the rest of the one week's time is used up for meeting up with old friends, since I'll be missing them on Christmas. Hmm hmm. I dunno? My heart is no longer here with me anymore, lol.

Especially after tonight.

My last rehearsal of the year. And I'd so say, the proudest one I've ever done. I get to play both the conductor and the pianist today, but from my performance tonight I think I've changed over the past year. Er, in the "professional" aspect I mean (whatever). I used to be afraid of these situation, since taking an adult choir means having the guts to command people over twice my age, lol. I did go through this before in my past seasons with this choir, but it was mostly due to the conductor being late, and not the conductor being absent.

Anyway, I hugged a bouquet home. :) My favourite flower!! Lilies, that is. The scent is an addiction.

So while on my way home I laughed at the fact - I wished I do manage to count down how many bouquets I receive in a year. It is a good sign, no? So people around ask me why I have a change of plan for next year, they don't understand how distracted I am by my career right now. Though friends will always leave my side one day and my heart broken, I might be where I'm standing again.

Now to memorize some Italian I can't comprehend. >(
